| The roses are used for defense. If an enemy penetrated that far within the Vaihtaminen , the roses would come to life and kill the intruder either by strangulation or by ripping them apart with its thorns. The roses are a symbol of the sidhe power. It is said that as the roses die, so does the power of the sidhe. Ashlette made the flowers live again.

Some live in trees, some shell, some living in houses that are shaped in the heads of their own kind. Nothing is set here as the inhabitant can change the appearance with the will of their minds.
